On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the Manja Gideon Foundation and Zurich Cancer League (Krebsliga Zürich) will host an info event entitled “Ovarian cancer – Hereditary risk and nutrition”. As the event falls on World Ovarian Cancer Day, we want to raise awareness among and share comprehensive information about the disease with women and their relatives as well as other interested parties. Because the sooner it is detected, the better the prospects for recovery.

Program

Genes and ovarian cancer: What symptoms should I look out for and what does it mean to have a genetic predisposition? A lecture by Dr. med. Susanna Stoll, head doctor of the Hereditary Risk Counseling Office, Triemli und Waid Hospital, Zurich

What role does the right diet play in cancer prevention and aftercare? Discussion with Jelinda Linder, head of Nutritional Counseling at the Center for Integrative Oncology (CIO) and Jasmin von Wartburg, cancer survivor who runs her own business, Fruchtmunter, in Schwanden, Switzerland.

Moderator: Stephanie Ringel

Afterwards, guests will have plenty of time to ask their questions during the Question and answer session.
